Peach Cake

It's weekend again! I always like to have a relaxing weekend without working too much in the kitchen but still able to enjoy some nice foods. I'll normally make some sweet stuffs to chill in the fridge and serve it at any time during the weekend.
Here, I've prepared some peach cakes which is a recipe from HHB. It's really a great recipe and very refreshing desserts. I made it into individual portion which I think is much easier for me to serve but definately much more works in advance. I followed the mousse recipe from HHB except the sponge cake. The texture is very good indeed!

Hi Kitchen Corner,

How do you remove the mousse cake from the cake ring so neat and nice? I find that it quite messy sometime as the mousse will stick to the ring.
So I wrapped the inner ring with plastic cake wrapper.

Did you need to use a hair dryer to blow the sides so they come off the mold nicely?

Hi Kitchen Corner, your peach cakes is really very attractive and look delicious. Did you use a chef ring for the individual cakes? How did you remove the cake? Hope you can share some of your tips in making small cakes. Thanks

I did wrapped the inner chef ring with a plastic cake wrapper. It makes my work much easier. Some of them I didn't use plastic cake wrapper and it still could came out nicely. I warm up my hands then hold the cake ring for about 20 second and it's easily removed. Hahaa.. I didn't use hair dryer to blow the side of the ring. That might be a good idea. Hope you could try out and if you've better solution, please share with me yaa!! Cheers!

BTW, I understand that you use a mixer to knead bread dough. Can I know what's the brand of the mixer that you are using?

Grace, I always use a hair dryer to loosen up the mouse from the sides of the cake ring, they come out beautifully and never need and lining on the inner sides of the cake ring. Just remember to not over do it.

For such small cute moulds you use, a warm hand for 20seconds works best!
